Distribusi dan Status Habitat Peneluran Penyu Belimbing (Dermochylus coreacea) di Indonesia

Abstract

Penyu belimbing (Dermochelys coriacea) merupakan satu dari enam jenis penyu yang ditemukan di Indonesia. Kajian ini bertujuan mengkompilasi data distribusi dan status habitat peneluran populasi penyu belimbing (Dermochelys coriacea) di Indonesia. Habitat peneluran penyu belimbing di Indonesia yang telah tercatat terdistribusi di 19 pantai peneluran yang ada di Aceh, Sumatera Utara, Jawa Timur, dan Papua Barat. Dari 19 pantai peneluran tersebut, hanya 9 yang sta-tusnya dilindungi secara resmi oleh pemerintah. Dalam konteks jumlah populasi, pada penelitian ini data hanya tersedia dari habitat peneluran di Sumatera (Panga dan Lhoknga) dan Papua Barat (Jamursba Medi dan Warmon).
